For Hire
A designer does not merely make "something pretty." A designer melds personal aesthetics with a client's need and goals. A designer has single purpose: to work with a client to create a functional, useful, visually-appealing product. Whether you would like clean front-end code, a clear layout, a user-friendly interface, navigation that makes sense, or a poster with a message, I am your designer.
People have told me I have an innate sense of design and typography, that I am very professional, and that I take criticism well. Though I have only been working as a professional web designer for four years, I have striven to make those four years count. I have developed a design style focused on clean, clear communication, and coupled with a strong dedication to top performance and professionalism.
I worked for two departments at The University of Texas at Austin, including my three-year stint at LAITS where I have created a majority of my designs, including work on two award-winning sites. Some of my freelance clients have been Aranya Marketing, zCore Business Solutions, Womack, McClish, Wall, & Foster, P.C., BarLine & Chris Maresh (via Cheney Crow), and Old Fashion Candy Company, as well as individual clients.
I can create your entire site, from graphics and layout to coding your website in HTML/CSS and implementing it with a variety of CMSs, including Movable Type. I can make mockups and graphics in Illustrator and Photoshop for programmers who prefer to let a professional designer create the look and feel of their site/program/interface. I can design business cards, brochures, flyers, book/CD covers, etc. for print. I can design build working prototypes for interfaces, as well as write technical documentation.
My rates are very reasonable, tiered to make it an affordable choice for the individual or small business. Please contact me for a quote, or take a look at my resumé for more information.
